Warm Gingery Oatmeal Breakfast Recipe
Remember that the quality of your food “fuel” matters as you have breakfast before heading out into the world each morning. Here’s a wonderful variation on a traditional oatmeal recipe for you to enjoy as temperatures begin to drop!
Warm Gingery Oatmeal Breakfast Recipe
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 15 Minutes
Serves: 3
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup organic rolled oats
2 cups filtered, spring, or distilled water
¼ cup organic raisins
¼ cup goji berries
¼ cup sunflower seeds
2 teaspoons grated ginger
1 tablespoon agave nectar (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
- Bring water to a boil.
- Add oats, raisins, goji berries, ginger, and a pinch of salt.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Continue cooking until water is absorbed and oats become nice and creamy (about 7 minutes).
- Add sunflower seeds and agave (if so desired).
