Raw Macadamia Nut Chocolate Mocha Recipe

A decadent and delicious drink to enjoy by the fire or next to your loved ones this holiday season. This is not your traditional mocha, but a much healthier version that will nourish your body and warm your spirit. Cheers!

Chocolate Hazelnut Mocha

Raw Macadamia Nut Chocolate Mocha

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Warming Time: 3-5 minutes
Yields: 2-4 servings


For Nut Milk:

½ cup raw organic macadamia nuts

4 cups filtered water

For Mocha:

4 cups raw organic macadamia nut milk (see above)

2-4 tablespoons raw organic honey or maple syrup

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1-2 tablespoons raw organic carob powder

1-2 tablespoons organic cocoa powder

1-2 tablespoons instant grain coffee (optional)

2-4 cinnamon sticks

1 tablespoon organic cinnamon

1 teaspoon nutmeg

½ teaspoon sea salt


For Nut Milk:

1. Blend macadamia nuts and water at high speed until very smooth.

2. Pour mixture through a strainer.

For Mocha:

1. Blend all ingredients until smooth, adding more honey or maple syrup to taste.

2. Gently warm in a saucepan over low heat for 3-5 minutes.

3. Serve in warmed mugs with a fresh cinnamon stick.
