Honey Elixir Recipe
Discover this quick, easy, and delicious honey elixir base which you can add to drinks and smoothies. It’s also wonderful when added to yogurt or ice cream as a decadent topping. Enjoy!
Golden Honey Elixir
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Yield: 1 Cup Elixir Base
Ingredients:
3/4 cup raw organic honey
3 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, preferably raw and unfiltered
Zest of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Stir all of the ingredients together in a jar until smooth.
2. Let mixture stand for at least 30 minutes before using, or cover and refrigerate. Use within 1 week.
3. To create a drink from this honey elixir base, stir desired amount into hot (not boiling) water, or into warmed organic dairy or nut milk.
4. This mixture can also be used as a base for salad dressings, smoothies, and even as a topping for yogurt or ice cream.
